In our church, infants are given a name and a blessing. The baby generally wears a nice outfit, usually white. We ended up buying a dress for Emily but I still wanted to take some pictures of her in the dress I was blessed in. Emily and I were pretty much the exact same same when we were born! This dress has some of my mom's wedding dress in it as well as some material that was my great grandmother's. I love the colored ribbon on the bottom. Emily is a super active baby though and constantly was wrapping her hands around the strings hanging down. I asked my mom if she had issues with me doing that, and she said she didn't. Haha oh Emily always having to be moving....
I of course also had to take pictures of her in the dress she really wore.
Emily wore a cute little bracelet the day she was blessed but these pictures were taken before she got the bracelet.
My family growing up had a tradition of getting a picture with the parent of the same gender in all white and the blessing outfit. I decided to go ahead and get a couple of pictures with Emily and me. I had to recruit Nic's help. Got the settings set and the tripod out and he helped snap a few.
